Not sure if anyone else wants to share their stories on how they came up with their e-fed characters but I would like to share mine and others can comment on theirs also.
The three characters I used the most were Felix "The Kat" Hernandez, "Bulldog" Bill Barnhart, and James Tuscini. Here's how I came up with them.
My irl brother in-law is a Puerto Rican named Felix Hernandez and he loves the cartoon character Felix The Cat and his bag of tricks. So I came up with an e-fed wrestler named Felix "The Kat" Hernandez who had a stainless steel briefcase he called his "Bag of Tricks." Yes Felix Hernandez would sometimes use the briefcase as a weapon. I used Dan Severn as my poser.
James Tuscini is my brother's real name as we have the same mother but different fathers. He is really full-blooded Sicilian as both our mother and his father are full-blooded Sicilian Italian. I used James Maritato (aka: Little Guido) as my poser. I felt it was easier to write about the character when it was based on my irl brother.
Then we come to "Bulldog" Bill Barnhart. I worked at a company in Redlands, California, from 1997 to 2003 and the guy who worked in our Shipping Department was named Bill Barnhart. We both loved wrestling and he made this comment to me: "Andy if I was in professional wrestling I would call myself "Bulldog" Bill Barnhart and have an English Bulldog mascot." Yeah so I ripped him off also to create my Bill Barnhart character.
I've used Barnhart the most in my 20 years of e-fedding. I believe close to 12 years. It is an easy character for me to write for as I put a lot of my irl experiences into my chracter and his promos.
The bottom line is I love to have fun in e-fedding and Barnhart gives me the most fun and enjoyment writing for him.
